I simply have to comment here. I was gone from DA for a very long time, in the way that these hiatuses tend to happen to me - the way I keep coming back to Kagerou and burning through what I've missed like a chain smoker who thought they'd quit.
I just thought you should know how much Kagerou struck a chord with me. I've been masquerading as Tonbo-chan on and off of the internet since a dragonfly-related quasi-spiritual experience in my freshman year (6 years), and to see Tonbo represented in your work caught my eye and sucked me in until I got attached to everything about it. Since then I've returned to it over and over, because I can't get enough of the magical art and effed-up-ness.
Just another fan who thinks they're special, but there you have it. Cheers.

Sure thing! Basically it goes like this: Tcaolin joins with one warrior and one Princess. She gets the Princess by occupying her body, and gets the Warrior via...well, pretty much seduction.

With Kano, we've got the added complication of multiple personalities. Tcaolin summoned Red, but at the same time, Fuuka (Tonbo's spirit, which was incompletely bonded to Tcaolin) bestowed the same power on Kano. So they're kind of in trouble there, because Kano and Red have completely different goals.

As for the zones, they are still a mystery. They are at least partially in his head, but the extent to which this is true is not yet known.

Kano's personalities are a mix of organic crazy and supernatural spookiness.

I've been reading your webcomic for a while and I'm really enjoying it. I love the art style and unique story. But I was just wondering, could you briefly sum up how the triad of power thing works between Kano, Tonbo and Tcaolin? And I don't know if this is at all answerable at this point in the stories, but what is with all the personalities and zones and how are they all linked to Kano? Are they really all just inside his head?

Out of sheer curiousity. Have you ever watched the anime Higurashi no Naku Koro ni? It seems like something that would be right up your alley. Damn, I am still having nightmares from watching most of the first season. (still not done, how can something so mindfucking, be so addicting!)
